Summertime is Here

Maya Goes to State

SF Prep made it to State this year and the girls were underdogs, but they came so close to going to the final round.

Sasha and Maya are a great team.

The match went late into the evening. They would have won, but they ran down the clock and the game was stopped when the another deciding match went to the other team.

Dexter loves comedy so this was a big treat.

A Third Car

Yep. We did it. We purchased a 2017 Toyota Forerunner to be the third car for the family. It's got 4WD, a lot of hauling space, and will make life easier to manage for everyone.

Maya had to learn how to do crazy things like using a key to turn a car and how to pump gas. 

Excited to learn how to drive the big huge new car, but it's a little challenging.

Eclipse!

The day is here. We've never traveled anywhere for an eclipse and the weather was being tricky, but it all worked out in the end.

....suddenly it's totally dark. 

So bizarre and wonderful.

We can look at the sun without glasses and see the crazy glow around it. 

It was much more amazing than any photo can show. So worth it!

Fun With Katz and Dog

We are continuing the fun pre-eclipse with the Katz family (minus Jason who was sadly at work in the Bay Area).

Austin Eclipse Adventure

A while ago, Kearsley got inspired to see a total solar eclipse, so we decided to go to Austin to check it out. 

We arrived early in the morning and decided to spend a little time checking out Austin. We got donuts in South Congress, shopped a little and then made our way to the Dripping Springs to find some old friends. 

After checking in to cabin, we headed out for dinner with Layla, Brighton, and Isla. We haven't seen each other in forever. What a treat!
