More Puzzles and Sand

The weekend continued and we found more beaches and puzzles.

Dexter taking up hair styling.

Puzzle is nearing completion.

Today was more sunny, but cool and breezy. We decided to head to the beach!

After navigating down the bluff, we arrived at Redondo Beach.

We barely saw any people.

The sun was peaking through.

Windy!

Tide pools and big waves.

Maya conducts the waves.

Lovely.

Cliffs and birds.

Half Moon Bay Getaway

We decided to take a little trip over the kid's mid-winter break. In the spirit of keeping it simple (generally the best policy in the Covid universe), we rented a little house about 80 minutes away from home near Half Moon Bay.

We are staying at this adorable blue house.

First day we took a long walk to Maverick Beach. Walking along the protected bay for now.

We finally got to the beach and passed the jetties to reach the famous surf beach.

We made it.  It's cold and windy, but it's a cool spot.

A rather strange fellow walked past us and insisted that we hold up his surf board for our photo and told us it was the same board some famous surfer uses. He then proceeded to run into the choppy surf when no one else was surfing (probably for good reason). We hope he survived.

Cool bench.

Upone our return, we embarked on some serious puzzling.

Socially Distanced With a View and Chess

Jen and Momma continue to enjoy hiking even with masks. Meanwhile Dexter plays chess.

Jen and view from Ring Mountain. Pretty good.

Another socially distanced selfie.

Making the Best of It

As usual, we are nailing it at sorta keeping busy during COVID.

Maya and Dexter hang out with Maya's friend, Hope. Skateboards on heads seemed appropriate.

Hanging out on the couch.

Working on teenage faces.

Getting comfortable.

Making waffles.

Todd showing off his shirt with his shot on it.

Softball preparations are in effect.

COVID laundry.
