5 Months, More New Year's Eve Excitement

Our New Year's Eve day was packed with people and parties, but our evening was a little less dramatic. The festivities included breastmilk, story time, hearing the distant fireworks from our bedroom, and Todd waking up Kearsley at midnight. Yeah...jealous?

5 Months, Leo's New Year's Eve birthday bash

Our day wasn't over yet. Lucky for us, our good friends, Sarah and Eric and their little boy, Leo, were in town to visit their family. They decided to have a birthday party for Leo's 2nd birthday and we were invited.

5 Months, New Year's Eve with Jake and Brandon

We went on a New Year's Eve stroll up to the top of one of the hills near our house where we met up with Jake and Brandon.

On December 31st, Kathy and Sadie came over to visit during the day. Sadie is a few days older than Maya and much wiser.

"Raspberries" video

Maya has been doing a lot of blabbing, and blowing a lot of raspberries. On this day, December 26, she was particularly full of raspberries.

Here's a short video of Maya from Christmas Day. Earlier that morning, she 'opened' all her presents underneath the Christmas tree, and this is us getting her after her first nap.

5 Months, Christmas Day!

Maya's first Christmas was a lot of fun (more for us than for her). The three of us had fun opening presents...okay...we'll pretend that she really enjoyed opening all of her presents. We think she may have liked the color of the wrapping paper.

5 Months, Making Cookies

On Christmas Eve, we made cookies with the Gibbs family. Julie (from my mother's group), Tyler, and their daughter, Natalie cooked up some delicious, and interestingly decorated cookies. Yum!
