Oscar Night

As usual, we had some friends over for Oscar excitement...

We had the pleasure of a short visit from Sam, Maddie, and Max.  Sadly, we were missing Jess, but it was still a treat.  See more of this little visit with them here.

Snow Ball Fight

Before heading home, we got to spend some time enjoying the snow.

Snow Day

The weather changed from being in the 50s outside to being cold and wintery with at least a foot and a half of snow falling overnight.  We had to dig ourselves out of the driveway in the morning and after some long delays we got to the slopes and enjoyed the fresh snow.

 All four of us on our first trip on the big chairlift.  Dexter went down his first non-bunny hill green...with help from Momma.

In the afternoon, we sent Dex to afternoon ski lessons and Maya, Mommy, and Daddy had a little time on our own.  We decided to go up to the very top again.  This time, it was very windy!

Day 2

It was our second day at Diamond Peak on the shores of Lake Tahoe.  Today the kiddies didn't get lessons so Ma and Pa took turns skiing with different kiddies.  

 Maya went to the top of the mountain with Maya.  She started mastering blue runs.

Near the end of the day, we all skied the bunny slope together.

Let's Go Skiing

For the first time ever, our whole family hit the slopes in California.

We planned to have Maya take a lesson too, but they were sold out so we took her with us.

Maya does amazingly well considering this is her 4th time on skis.

In the afternoon, Maya took a lesson so Ma and Pa got a little time to ski on their own.

At the end of the day, we took Dexter skiing on his own for a little bit because when we spied on him at his lesson, he was still not happy.  A little time with Mom and Dad did the trick.
