Zozobra and Yarn

Another year, another trek to Zozobra just down the road. 99th year that Old Man Gloom burns so that we can all have a great year.

Finding our spot in the field. Maya promptly ran off with friends.

It's getting close to burn time.

Old Man Gloom is about ready.

The show begins with dancers and fireworks.

And then he burns.

Beautiful.

Fun and delightfully destructive.

Maya is loving yarn, yarn, yarn. Crochet time.

Barbie and Pizza

Well, our trip is coming to an end, but we packed in one more fun day!

We completed our Barbieheimer experience with Barbie!

Kearsley is ridiculously pleased with herself for pre-ordering popcorn to skip the long annoying line.

Too happy!

Kids with cats back at the Kender-Page.

And, of course, Sam's delicious homemade pizza as the finale.

Very relaxed soccer.

Dim Sum and The Broad

Another day in Los Angeles and we made it fun with a few excursions.

Note these two lovely ladies with their matching outfits.

Our fam wanted Dim Sum in the morning so headed out toe NBC Seafood Restaurant in Alhambra.

900 seats in this small establishment. The food was delish.

Next we met up with the gang in downtown LA at The Broad (a contemporary art museum). A Keith Haring exhibit was featured.

Classic imagery.

Expansive works.

Totems.

Hmmmm.

Now up to see the rest of the collection.

Impressive.

Dexter.

Maya.

Children in a corner.

More children in a corner.

Outside The Broad.

Walt Disney Concert Hall across the street.

Walking around Downtown.

Fountains.

Then the grown ups went out for dinner with a first stop in The Dresden, a classic LA bar.

Love these guys.
