Farewell Florida

We had fun on our last full day in Florida before heading home...

 Maya.

Classy souvenir from our trip...after playing laser tag, of course.

Florida style.

Charlotte takes us out for our last boat ride.

Marimar, Kalea and Maya.

Dexter still petrified by the party boat.

Enjoying the view.

Party boat time.

A little better.

Sunset on the water.

The best way to enjoy a beer.

The Higgins/Dyke clan, with Maya.

Heading back into the canals.

Brushing teeth time.

An airport goodbye.

Momma enjoying her delightful children.

Boats and Pictures

Enjoying our last days in Destin.  First some fun enjoying our houseboat rental.  Second, a lovely catered dinner from Baba and Bunny (Pete and Pam).

Our trusty vessel, aptly named the "Cindy."

Dexter had some ocean fears in Destin.  He wanted nothing to do with the boats, but he was a trooper.

Oscar and Marimar.

Dexter is ready for dinner.

 Picture time!

Jeff's family.

Baba and Bunny with all their grand children.

Lulu and Pop with some less cooperative grandchildren.

Us.

Lulu with Viv and Charlotte.

Cousin Emma is a couple years older than Maya.

Ashley, who just graduated from high school, and her brother, Peter.

Peter and Maggie.

The clan.

Another gorgeous sunset...

...now with dog.

Daddy and Nate are excited for pictures to be over and for dinner to begin!

Gulfarium and Dinner

We had fun the next day seeing the local marine park, the Gulfarium, and hosting a dinner for all 26 family members.

 Dex and Viv reading stories.

Watching the dolphin show.

Santi is in charge of the maps.

Kalea admires some sharks.

Waiting for the sea lion show.

All the waiting has made someone a little too enthusiastic.

All of the Higgins/Vaziri/Dyke/Moreno clan prepared food for the big night.

Momma admires the salads.

Party time!

Remembering Nonnie

We decided to spread Nonnie's ashes in the beautiful blue water that she admired everyday from her home.  We left all the little kids with a babysitter and all of Nonnie's children, grandchildren, and her older great-grandchildren all got on two houseboats to say a final goodbye her.

Everyone gathers for our boat ride out into the bay.

Getting ready to board the houseboat.

Out on the bay.

Our boat.

Peter paid a lovely tribute to Nonnie.

Preparing to release her ashes.

Lulu and Peter release her ashes and we all threw roses into the water.

We love you, Nonnie!

Afterward, we all shared memories of Nonnie while looking out at the bay.  It was really wonderful.
