In 2019, we came to Santa Fe to celebrate Grammy's birthday. We were quite enamored with the place and came back in February of 2020 to research the possibility of moving to Santa Fe. We didn't find land during that trip, but through a bit of amazing luck (serendipity) we found the lot that we eventually bought and began what we didn't know would be a four year project that would culminate in completion of an amazing house we named Casa Escondida.
April 2020 - our first views of the land in a series of photos from the listing, our realtor, a drone, and our architect. We bought the land sight unseen in May.
July 2020 - we drove across the US to see what we bought during the pandemic. We were impressed.
August 2021 - over a year later we arrived in Santa Fe - plans ready for permit and us looking at what would soon be a construction site.

December 2021 - Adding dirt and moving it around.
April 2022 - After a few challenges, the foundation was ready to be poured.
May 2022 - Plumbing that had to be exactly right when we poured the slab.
September 2022 - Concrete started.

August 2024 - Moving in all the stuff! Most which has been stored on the lot in Pods since we moved out of our rental.
