Porchfest

This year a new event was created in Gerstle Park. Porchfest started in our neighborhood with streets closed and bands playing on a bunch of different porches. Ours was one of them. Maya took advantage by creating a bakesale. It was a tremendous success.

Oh Rats!

So, Maya was promised that she could get two rats for her birthday, but she had to wait until we got back from our summer trips. The time has finally arrived. It's rat day!

 First some tickling by the computer.

Excited Maya has her travel cage ready for her new friends. We actually went to the Vivarium in Berkeley first and found out that they only had male rats that were pretty mature. After some calling around, we found some pet rats in San Francisco.

Back To School Again

These guys are ready for another year. Maya is starting 6th grade and Dexter is starting 1st.

Last Stop

For our last couple of days, we stayed at an AirB&B by David and Susan's home and toured around with them a bit more in Bellingham. We had fun!

Back to the Mainland

After a couple of nights, it was time to head back to Bellingham.

 Maya and Dex want to be like Dad.
