Chillin' In June

Brother-in-law Mike was in town for a conference, and came over for a visit. Kearsley is halfway through her 37th week.

Later that weekend, we hung out with Jake and Sophie in Noe Valley.

Here we are on June 24, at the end of Kearsley's 37th week, hanging with Debbie in Cole Valley.

Stephen Colbert and Our Family

Todd here. As the birth of our child approaches, I thought I'd share with you my thoughts about our evolving and increasingly perplexing relationship with Mr. Stephen Colbert, and "The Colbert Report."

We've been fans of Stephen's work and the show for many years. But things really heated up last year, when I helped out "my friend," George L., on his second place entry in the Stephen Colbert Green Screen Challenge. (Read more about it at starwars.com.)

We were thrilled to visit the show in New York, and watch the taping in person, and meet Mr. Colbert, Mr. Truthiness, himself.

But ever since that meeting, when Kearsley shook Mr. Colbert's hand, I've been noticing some odd events unfold.

For one, Kearsley and I shook Mr. Colbert's hand almost exactly nine months from Kearsley's due date.

As we all know, Mr. Colbert has a strong penchant for giving the thumbs up.

And in our 19 week ultrasound, our little one gave us a familiar gesture:

Plus, Mr. Colbert frequently points to his 'friends' when photographed. Lately, when posing for photographs with Kearsley and the little one, we have an uncontrollable urge to decidedly point towards the little peanut, inside the womb.

Fans of the show know how virile and potent is Mr. Colbert. He even sells his own man-root-essence surplus on the internet as "Stephen Colbert's Formula 401" (now only available in Russia).

So, what does all of this mean? I don't really know. But if our little one ends up looking like this child in Colbert's arms (for the cover of GQ), I suppose we'll have to consider the name 'Stephanie.'

Baby Pool Scorecard

updated: now includes guesses from Todd's parents

Back in May, at the Baby Shower, we had a little Guess The Birthday pool going.

(You remember the shower, don't you? Click here for pictures.)

So, for all of you entered, and want to see how your $1 wager will blossom into your winnings, here's the rundown of all of the guesses.

The cash prize will be awarded to the person who gets closest to the actual birthdate. In the event of a tie, the person who is closest to the actual birthweight will win. Good luck!

Watch The "Wall•E" Teaser

"Wall•E," the Pixar film that Kearsley has been working on for the past year, now has a teaser! Kearsley was the teaser's line-producer. This is the first Pixar teaser to have mixed media (live-action, animated photographs, and full CG animated sequences).

The teaser will play in theaters in front of "Ratatouille," which comes out on June 29. And "Wall•E" will be in theaters in the summer of 2008.

Just Us, 36 Weeks

No events, no parties, just a sunny weekend in San Francisco and the two of us horsin' around with a camera.

Kearsley is 36 weeks pregnant in these photos.

The "Ratatouille" Premiere

Last Saturday, Pixar held its "Ratatouille" Premiere party at the Masonic Center in San Francisco. The film is a lot of fun, and the event was a great excuse for Pixar folks to get dressed up and look snazzy.

Kearsley didn't actually work on "Ratatouille," (she went straight from "Cars" to "Wall•E") but you should still see the movie anyway.

In these photos, Kearsley is 35 weeks pregnant.

"Transformers" Birth Announcement

Todd has given birth... and the baby looks like this!
Todd's 11 month pregnancy finally came fruition. He's given birth to a feature film, and we're naming it "Transformers." It weighs 2 hours and 7 minutes, and it's as cute as the dickens.

Actually, it's an action-packed science-fiction extravaganza.

Have a celebratory cigar, and go see "Transformers," (starring Scorponok, Blackout, Megatron, Optimus Prime, and a cast of others) coming to a theater near you on July 4.
