Annabelle and Allen came up to visit us over Presidents' Day weekend.
We have now officially hit 20 wks. Half way there!
I guess Kearsley is starting to show...or else it's just the beer.
Below is our new album cover picture. Todd's the lead singer, Annabelle plays base, Allen's got lead guitar, and Kearsley is the drummer they want to kick out of the band. Go figure.

19 weeks down...
All the cool kids have blogs. Although we knew that most people would love to know what restaurant we enjoyed last week or our two cats' favorite sleep spots, we were hesitant enter the the hyped blogosphere. Then we found out that we had a new family member on the way. We figure that makes us at least 132% more interesting. So here goes...our blog has begun.
Today we had our complete ultrasound at 19 weeks. It was an amazing experience. Julie, our ultrasound technician, looked at all parts of the anatomy from the cerebellum, to the four chambers of the heart, to each leg and foot. We were both nervous going into the exam. We knew that this was the big moment where we would find out about any major deformities or other problems. Luckily, every measurement and picture looked normal and healthy. We were also able to take a good look between the legs and we were delighted to find out that... it's a girl!
Our peanut has sure changed over the last 19 weeks. Here she is at 7 weeks:
Then at 10 weeks:
And here she is today:
She was moving all over the place during the exam. Her head was down in a cramped area by the cervix for most of the exam while her feet were flailing around in the spacious area above. She kept covering her face during the exam and crossing and uncrossing her feet. She was balled up at the beginning, but by the end she was stretching her body with her neck back taking drinks of the amniotic fluid.
She was also able to let us know that all was going well by giving us a signal she knew we would understand:

When We First Found Out...
Our adventure became real on October 28, 2006. We had just begun our "Grandmother Tour '06" trip, and it was our first night in Destin, Florida.
Here are some photographs that no one has seen before.
Yes, that's the stick. Two lines equals pregnant.
Todd grabbed the camera and took a shot of us in the bathroom mirror. Do we look nervous?
The news is slowly starting to sink in...
If you can't tell, that's Kearsley giving the thumbs up.
