Forest Friends

We had fun exploring the redwoods in the area two different times for the remainder of our trip to Mendocino.

Sisters In Mendocino

We left Daddy on his own for a few days so the sisters could take the youngest kids on a trip to Mendocino. It was fun!

We stayed at a cute hotel in town and found ourselves at this coffee/breakfast spot frequently. Kalea took this selfie.

Then she took this picture.

Off to the coast to look for a glass beach. At first we walked along the bluff and found what had been labelled as the glass beach.

There were some cool spots along the coast, but not that much glass.

Then Momma noticed an old map indicated a different area, but the entrance had been fenced because the stairs were out. We noticed a trail nearby and found ourselves on an abandoned amazing glass beach.

Back At Home

While Maya was on her cool adventure. We had some fun too. After dropping off Santi in Colorado, Marimar and Kalea came to San Rafael to hang with us.

Daddy tests out yet another way to get around without putting weight on his ankle. We call this his peg leg.

Maya's Adventures

Here are some the pictures of Maya's big adventure sent to us by those who were there. Highlights include a tour given by Lulu and Pop's congressperson's intern of the Capitol, bike ride around the Mall, the Air and Space Museum, the Spy Museum, the Portrait Gallery, a bike ride to Mount Vernon with a ferry ride back, and much more.

Maya gets to Colorado where Lulu, Pop, Marimar, Santi, and Kalea await. Maya enjoys the first of many large sodas.
