Maya is now three months old. People say that three months is the magic time when babies start to get a bit more stable and a lot more fun. Maya is certainly proving that statement true. She's now batting at objects, holding onto toys, and she absolutely loves playing with her feet. She has good neck control and back strength. She's crying less, smiling and cooing more, and is so much more engaged in the world. I'm sure we have plenty of trials ahead, but we are now petrified about 70% of the time as opposed to our constant state of panic from the first weeks. We might be able to do this parenting thing.
On the Eve of Maya's three month birthday, we went to Jonathan Stein's kickball birthday in Berkeley. There were plenty of babies there, including Jonathan's 5 month old daughter, Maddie. What fun!
