Now for a quick trip back in time...on 3/14 (12 weeks pregnant), we told Maya that she'll be a big sister over a bowl of ice cream. We took a video of the whole conversation which was really cute, but very long. Instead of showing the whole thing, we grabbed a few frames to show Maya's reaction.
Mommy's saying something like, "Remember how Marimar had a baby in her belly, well now Mommy has a baby in her belly too."
In shock, Maya points at Mommy's belly.
She realizes what we're telling her.
"In there?" Maya asks again.
Conversation is halted as she drinks the last drop of ice cream.
"I can teach the baby how to talk baby-talk with your hands," Maya says as she shows the sign for 'more.'
This big sister thing might be pretty neat!
