Dexter Goes Hiking

Daddy had a day off work, so Ma and Pa decided to take a little hike with Dexter at Phoenix Lake.

First we went to breakfast.

Then it was time for hiking! Yay!

Open House

Maya's school held an open house for us to check out all the cool work that the kids have been doing.  There was an art show and we got to spend some time in Maya's classroom.

"First Taste of Oysters" video

Perhaps this wasn't the best parenting move, but Maya was very interested in the oysters that Mommy and our friend, Billy, were eating.  She asked a few times if she could try one.  I told her that it was more of a grown-up food and that the oyster was still alive when you ate it, but she was still interested.  This is what happened next...

May seems to be the season for kid's birthdays.  Maya got invited to three on the same day!  We were only able to make it to two, but they were fun!
