It was pretty cloudy and rainy while we were in Monterey, but we had one day of sun on our last day. Perfect day for a hike.
Nice morning view to the South...
...then the North.
We drove to the nearby Point Lobos State Reserve. Let the hiking begin...
We took a nice trail by the coast.
Hiking buddies.
Enjoying the views.
Looking for seals. We saw them on beach down below.
The view.
The beach below was closed because it was seal breeding season. Lots of seals on the beach.
Out by another overlook.
It's a little windy.
Cool views.
On our way back we found a little path heading to a different beach.
Down some very narrow steep stairs.
On the beach.
Back up that staircase.
Admiring a solo seal hanging out by him(or her)self. See him by the cliffs.
Back to the cars...
...and to a cute cafe in Carmel for lunch before the drive back to San Francisco.
