More Birthday Fun

Daddy surprised Momma with one more fun evening with more lady-friends for her big birthday.

While the kids were down at the Discovery Museum with Daddy, Momma was right up the hill getting massages and going to dinner with...

...these ladies...

...and these ladies.

This dinner got a little crazy.

Some of the funniest conversations with the best ladies ever.

Cheers!

Helper

Dex being useful...

 Continuing to love garbage cans.

Unloading the paper products with Daddy.

Field Trips

Maya has been exploring the outdoors at school and with the Brownie troop.

Her class got to explore Miwok Meadows in an open space area a few miles from her school.  Wildlife experts taught them about the local flora and fauna.

There was also this cool tree.

And this cool tree.  Here's our group for the hike.

Making crazy faces.

Then for our last Brownie meeting of the year, we did a short hike behind Maya's school (Maya is the one up right on top of the rock). These kids are getting big!

Burbank Buddies

After Disney, it was off to Burbank to see some of our favorite peeps.  We got to stay with Kender/Page's in there latest abode.

Sam, corrupting Maya and Dexter with this thing called "Hock Key".

Dexter dragged Daddy outside, pointing at the pucks, and kept saying, "I made a flower! I made a flower!"

Then Daddy realized what he meant.  I don't think this is what Sam intended when he brought out the hockey gear.

Maya will appreciate this in a few years.

Only in Burbank do you go to a school festival and see some dude's meticulously crafted replica of the 'Back to the Future' DeLorean time machine.

It was pretty amazing.

Dexter ponders life.

Out for drinks at the local brewery with the Kender/Page clan, the Kochendorfer/Green clan, and the MacDonald/Frost clan.  Just a little outing for the 15 of us.

Beth and Jenny brought scratchers.  Awesome.  So fun to see everyone.

Character Breakfast

For our last morning at Disney, we signed up for the character breakfast at the hotel.  It would be generous to say that these are the 'lesser' known Disney characters, but it was still a lot of fun.

Mixed character breakfast emotions.

A bear from Brother Bear.  He was happy that we knew which movie he was from...but we didn't know his name.

We think this is Meeko from Pocahontas.  Didn't know who he was at the time, but we still let this strange raccoon play peek-a-boo with Maya and Dex.

Yay!

With Dale (not to be confused with brother Chip).  We did know who he was...phew.

Disneyland!

Today we spent the whole day in the Disneyland.  We hit everything from Space Mountain to the Tiki Room.  Dexter was tall enough to go on the big rides too!  What fun!

Maya in front of the Dumbo ride.

On Space Mountain.  Momma is traumatized that she may be traumatizing Dex.  He didn't seem too scared though.

Daddy sees some reminders of work out in the wild.

At Autopia, probably the dumbest ride in Disneyland.  Maya enjoyed it though.

This looks more fun than it is.

Our first Disney trip.

Jungle Cruise.

Dexter had all of Disneyland to enjoy, but seemed the happiest looking at this fountain outside the Tiki Room.

In more questionable parenting, here we all are on Splash Mountain.  Dexter was only slightly traumatized.

Classic.

Nothing happened as we passed the Eiffel Tower.  (This will make more sense after you see "Tomorrowland".)

Mommy and Maya in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster!

We ended up at the Small World again later at night.  This time with light up bubble guns.

Fireworks.

Hooray!

Disney Birthday

Mommy finally turned 40 at the happiest place on earth.  She got a special pin so that everyone would know it was her birthday which earned her a few 'happy birthday's and a free broken churro.  The kids liked that it was her birthday, but loved that they were at Disneyland.

Meeting Olaf.

Hugs.

Family shot, Dexter not amused.

Snow pals.

Later, Maya meets Elsa and Anna.  Dexter didn't care much for that either.

Happy girl.

More fun in Cars Land with Mommy and Dexter on the tractor ride.

Yeehaw!

With Red.

Cars ride.

In our race car.

Birthday girl and her partner in crime.

Dexter is star struck when he sees Mater.
