The next morning we decided to explore Matsumoto before heading to Kyoto. It is also Todd's birthday.
At the trainstaion we stored all of our travel gear in a locker before going to some of the tourist sites.
Enjoying walking without backpacks, we went to Matsumoto Castle in the middle of the city.
Matsumoto Castle is considered a national treasure.
It was built in the 16th century.
Inside the castle, Dexter demonstrates how one would shoot arrows at people below.
