Ups, Downs, and Terror

Well, life sends lots of stuff your way. We are lucky that most of it is good.

This girl just got her permit. This is where the terror comes in.

Here she is driving in the cemetery partially so she understands what happens if she messes up, but mostly because there are a lot of empty roads where you can drive really slowly.

This would be categorized as a down. Maya has inherited hemochromatosis which is a blood disorder that causes the blood to absorb too much iron. The doctor usually don't see high iron in someone her age, so they wanted to make sure she didn't have iron build up on her organs. This led to Maya's first MRI which Maya was not very excited about.

She made it through like a champ. Now off to get some Korean food and boba.

This two are certainly up overall. Especially when we get to go to lunch together.

Love these guys!

Fall Colors in the Mountains

This year we managed to make it up to the mountains to see some of the fall colors.

Welcome to Ski Santa Fe.

We decided to take the slowest lift in the world (stopping every two chairs to let people on and off) to the top of the mountain.

Aspens!

Walking along the summit.

The fam.

The parents.

Through tress.

Meadows.

And dirt roads.

Lovely.
