Alaska: First Formal Night

Any experienced cruiser knows that there are specified nights for being 'formal.' The second night of the cruise was such an occasion. As painful as it was to get dressed up (and pack all the formal gear), we did end up looking pretty snazzy.

Our fabulous waiter (and Maya's newest best friend), Brata, brought a little cake in celebration of Lulu and Pop's 40th anniversary.

Alaska: At Sea

Our first full day on the ship was spent at sea. We spent our day marveling at the engineering and organizational marvel that is the cruise ship and getting used to cruise culture. We learned that it was essential to eat every 2 hours, shop for diamonds and fleece daily, and that life is not complete without a folded towel animal greeting you when you return to your cabin at night. The scenery was beautiful as our route followed the Inside Passage with land nearby on both sides.

Our cabin had an adjoining door to Marimar, Santi, and Oscar's cabin...nice.
