We had an extra special plan for spring break this year. Papa was turning 80 and we all wanted to celebrate where he wanted to celebrate and he chose Walt Disney World with a little add on of Universal Studios. The adventure begins...

First stop, Univeral Studio. We stayed at the Royal Pacific right near the park.
Harry Potter was the main reason for the trip to Universal, but we happened to be visiting at the most popular time of year and in order to not wait in crazy lines for Harry Potter we had to get up very early and be at the gates before early entry. This was hard with jet lag. 6am breakfast anyone?

We got into the park quickly and walk straight to Diagon Ally. This is Mom and Maya walking through the nondescript entry into the world of Harry Potter. We are very impressed!
It looks this empty for about 5 minutes.

This is what no lines looks like for the main ride in Diagon Ally, Escape from Gringotts. When we finished the ride, the wait was already 60 minutes.
Maya got Luna Lovegood's interactive wand at Ollivander's and was working on using it around Diagon Ally.

After a little time in Diagon Ally, we decided to try some of the other rides. We realized that Maya loves roller coasters. This is one of the first ones we did.

After it seemed like we had already had a full day at the park, we met up with Papa and Grammy at around 11:30am.
After a lunch at the Leaky Cauldron, we took the Hogwarts Express over to the other Universal park and Hogsmeade.
A long line, but happy humans.
