The "Wall-E" Premiere

On May 31st, Mom and Dad went to the big wrap party and screening of the latest Pixar movie, "Wall-E." Mom spent over a year working on the film even though she was on maternity leave for the last part of the production. She worked as the Layout Coordinator and then as the Sweatbox Manager (facilitates moving shots through the production pipeline).

The party was held at the Masonic Auditorium in downtown San Francisco. We've been to a few of these parties, but this one was bittersweet because it will probably be the last Pixar film that Mom will work on for a while. In fact, two days after the premiere, Mom told Pixar that she wasn't going to return to work.

It was a big treat to see the finished film. It was nice not know every detail of the final film before seeing it. We were blown away by great animation and the beautiful artistic and technical work captured in every frame. The best part was getting to see so many friends dressed up and having fun.

You can see "Wall-E" on June 27th in theaters. Click here for the trailer.
