Not Exactly Picture Perfect...

Should we be sharing this stuff??

Dexter annoyed sitting under a tree.

Nothing to see here.

Not the peas...

...anything but the peas.

Parenting sometimes feels like this.

School Visit

Dexter goes to a wonderful Montessori preschool.  Normally parents aren't really allowed to be in the classroom during the day, but once a year parents can observe.  Mama got to spend an hour in the classroom and watch the kids.  Although these pics don't show it, there are a lot of other kids at his school. Here he is doing a couple of 'works.'

Using a tool to tighten bolts.

Dexter put the circles on the this number grid.  Very proud of his work.

Skiing Again!

Today we went to Keystone with everyone!!  Dexter spent the day in a fun children's program while Lulu, Pop, Ma, Pa, and Maya all skied together.

 Nice view!

For the last run, we skied all the way down Schoolmarm which is 5 miles long.  Maya did great!

 Stories with Lulu.

 Two happy monkeys.

Heading back home after a great trip.

A-Basin

We decided to try to get Maya out on the slopes a little more.  Lulu was kind enough to watch Dexter for a day while Pop, Ma, Pa, and Maya headed for Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin) for more ski excitement.

Windy and cold!!

Unloading the truck.

Ready for a half-day lesson.

Heading For The Rockies

In February, our schools have mid-winter break and we decided to head to Colorado to see Lulu and Pop and do a little more skiing.

 Leaving Oakland airport.

 Crossing the rockies.

The morning after we arrived the snow really started to come down.

By the next day, things were looking like this.

 Two coyotes passing through.

We wanted to catch up with friends, but the bad weather meant bowling instead.

Dexter waits as his ball SLOWLY makes its way down the lane.

The new bowling alley and game center in Bergen Park is pretty great!

Dexter enjoying himself at the ski rental place.

All ready for skiing tomorrow!
